Contex IQ Quattro X Scanner This is the 5th generation in the CIS scanner series, available in two scan width options: 36 inches and 44 inches. By leveraging the capabilities available on a 64-bit operating system and integrating them with the Nextimage program, it is now possible to capture or save data from original image documents of virtually any length. No original document is too large for Nextimage 5. Should any limitations arise, they would be related to the file format or type selected for saving, such as TIF or PDF, depending on the specific document being scanned. If the file exceeds the supported length for both file types, Nextimage will automatically split or create a new file to ensure the scanning process is completed successfully without interruption or program crashes.

The Nextimage program actually offers three versions to choose from. When you first install the program, it is automatically set to the Free Edition. You can upgrade to a higher version to enhance scanning performance by purchasing Nextimage 5. Scan+Archive enhances image processing capabilities during the scanning process. For those already familiar with the Nextimage program and requiring versatile tasks such as scanning and immediate printing, the Nextimage 5 version is available. CIS Image Scanning Technology
The IQ Quattro X series scanners capture every detail that appears on the image using advanced CCD technology with 48-bit color depth. This is achieved through the integrated operation of a high-quality CIS imaging system, which includes a precision lens set, and a light source that emits light closely resembling natural light. This exclusive feature, known as Contex Natural Light, ensures that you will achieve excellent results in every scanning task.

Adobe RGB, Device RGB, and sRGB color spaces The IQ Quattro scanner family offers three color spaces for you to choose from, ensuring comprehensive coverage for the needs of color technical experts. Since each project requires different color spaces, Contex has integrated Adobe RGB, Device RGB, and sRGB for automatic use. Adobe RGB A wider gamut than the sRGB color space will be available. This allows differences in color brightness and saturation to be scanned and extracted from the original file. Commands or values used to define the color space in each task can be saved as a "unique color value data structure" in an ICC file format for use in other tasks, such as printing. Device RGB The color values will be delivered as captured by the scanner. In other words, all colors detected by the scanner on the original document will be recorded in their entirety. This process converts the image into Device RGB, which has a wider color gamut than Adobe RGB. sRGB This is a color space with the narrowest range, typically used for output files intended for display on monitors, not for printing on physical media.

X-Rite Color Value Specific Data Structure (X-Rite ICC Profiles)

In addition to offering three color spaces—Adobe RGB, Device RGB, and sRGB—for users to choose from, the Contex scanner also allows users to import X-Rite-specific color data structures to achieve even greater color accuracy and precision in their color settings. (Those who use DSLR cameras are likely familiar with the color checker or Color Checker known as the X-Rite Color Checker Passport, which is produced by X-Rite itself.) X-Rite is a leader in the science and technology of color standards used in the digital industry.

xDTR3
This is a connection standard designed and developed by Contex itself, offering faster data transfer speeds via the USB 3.0 port compared to the standard bandwidth provided by USB 3.0. This allows data to be transferred from the scanner to the PC in less time than usual. Additionally, with the installation of a network connection port, Gigabit comes with the IQ Quattro X device, making it even easier to share data from the scanner to the network and to the destination, such as a shared folder.
